My Return to Writing

It has been months since my last post to this blog. A lot has transpired in my life since the last article. This has become a relief to my mind and a solace for my soul. It helps me to get my thoughts together and move toward my goal of completing my doctoral studies. There is a lot of reading and writing associated with my coursework, and I have got to make sure that my writing skills are honed to be the best that they can be.

I have come to understand the importance of getting my thoughts down on paper and organizing them into some semblance of order before I start to make my first draft. This is so different from my past behavior where I just started to type my work and hardly ever went back to read the whole document. Now, I see the reason for review before final publication. It is a far better product when I take my time and think about what I want to say and the best way to say it.

I hope to write with regularity, daily, if possible. God blesses me each and every day, and I plan to make sure that I let others know about my blessings. While my life is fraught with challenges to my faith, they come into my life to make me stronger and able to persevere through the storms. I truly say to the Lord, “My faith looks up to thee, Thou lamb of Calvary, Savior Divine. Now hear me while I pray. Take all my guilt away. Now let me from this day be wholly thine.”

I have been cared for by the Lord all of my life, and I will let Him continue to do so because he is surely able to do so. I know that I can truly cast all my care on Him because He cares for me more that He does the grasses of the fields, the birds of the air, and the beasts of the earth. God is good.
